No use the silicone oil. It’s by far the best thing for your gun’s internals.
You won’t need to clean or lube it more often.
Green gas is a mixture of propane and silicone oil. Propane is just propane. If you add silicone oil into your propane adapter as the manufacturer recommends you won’t need to perform any extra maintenance.
The purpose of the silicone oil/gas mixture is to keep the gas seals moist and lubricated and prevent them from shrinking and leaking.
What it doesn’t to (as many people seem to think it does) is lubricate the gun itself. It’s still a good idea to lube moving parts from time to time (whether you’re using propane or green). You can also use your silicone oil for this, just be sparing.
