Does anal sex cause any health risks?

Sparkles asked:

My bf and I enjoy anal sex alot and we are each other’s first so there are no worries about STD’s and such. HOwever, are there any harms to the body from having too much anal sex? Also, in the heat of the moment we usually use lotion to lube instead of usual lubricants since lotion is easier to access, is lotion bad for anal sex or the body?

anal lube

The only thing that is NOT allowed is for him to go from anal to vaginal. You get any sh!t in your vagina, there’s a definite vaginal infection. Use KY Jelly or it’s generic.

    Otherwise, have a BALL!!!!! :)

Other than STDs which you say is not an issue the only thing I can think of is if you get a little tear in there from being too rough or one stroke going to a bad angle or whatever, then there could be some risk for infection. I would think that lube would make it a lot more pleasurable…but that’s just me…so hey whatever works!

    To answer your question
you can tear your rectum if youre not properly lubed. If entered at a wrong angle you can also tear or severely hurt yourself. You should never use lotion as a lubricate, it clearly states on most bottles of lotions “for external use only’. It may be embarrassing to purchase lubricates in stores or over the counter but please buy one or order one online.

As long as you do it the right way there should be nothing to worry about. I would not recommend using lotion because anything that you put into your colon is absorb into your blood stream. There is a chance of having a rip in your colon wall but it is very unlikely if you take your time and listen to your body.

Just don’t touch your vagina with anything that’s been in the ass. Use water soluble lubricants. not lotions. You don’t want your body to absorb all the extra ingredients and perfumes in lotions. Never force, always use plenty of lubricants and take it slow. It is not recommended to use large objects in the ass. Don’t try to push it or go with bigger and bigger things. You can have internal damage or a prolapsed rectum. The anus will stretch in time so improper care or excessive penetration could end up causing a loose opening which could ruin the experience of anal sex. It is wise to use moderation to keep the thrill of the experience!
